Today Mike is joined by two of his children, Johannah and Caleb Picconatto, and Dr. Stephen Jones to answer a question from one of our listeners. Our listener wanted to know what impact cross cultural transitions has on kids. Johannah and Caleb talk about the impact the Picconatto’s move to Berlin had on them almost 10 years ago.
Mike and Stephen also share some of the impacts being TCK (Third Culture Kids) had on their childhood. Mike’s dad was in the Air Force and Stephen’s dad was in the Navy.
Main topics of this episode deal with identity, navigating challenging questions regarding home, the complex challenges of fitting in, and learning how to establish your own identity - both as a child and an adult.
